Kibale Forest

Kibale National Park is widely regarded as the best place in Africa for chimpanzee trekking, and it's easy to see why. Home to over 1,500 chimpanzees, Kibale offers the highest encounter success rate of any park on the continent β€” and the experience is both accessible and deeply rewarding. The park also hosts 12 other primate species, making it one of Africa's richest primate habitats. Morning and afternoon trekking sessions are available, and the optional Chimpanzee Habituation Experience allows extended time β€” sometimes a full day β€” with a chimpanzee family as they go about their natural behaviour.
