Kampala can be visited year-round. The drier months (June–August and December–February) can be more comfortable for city exploration. Cultural performances at Ndere Cultural Centre run throughout the year. Kampala is most commonly visited at the beginning or end of a Uganda safari — a day or two in the city provides excellent context before heading into the national parks.
